Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to join our team as the Head of Business. The successful candidate will have full profit and loss (P&L) ownership responsibility for a key business unit within our organization, operating on a global scale. They will drive business growth, operational efficiency, and profitability while upholding our values of sustainability and responsible business practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute forward-looking strategic plans to future-proof the business and achieve financial targets on a global scale.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and optimize performance across all aspects of the business.
  • Identify emerging market trends and opportunities to guide the business unit towards new go-to-market strategies and revenue streams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, on a global scale.
  • Drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity within the organization.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to ensure profitability and sustainability on a global level.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives and responsible business practices in alignment with corporate values and industry standards.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in running complex and large-scale enterprises, with a proven track record of success.
  • Significant regional experience across APAC is a must; global remit experience is well-regarded.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to drive business growth and profitability in a global context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels worldwide.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change on a global scale.
  • Deep understanding of the resource-based manufacturing industry and global market dynamics.
  • Commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
